Give kids the thrill of running through one of the city's most famous spots!
Kids will have the chance to stop traffic in Times Square as they dash along an exciting course through one of New York City’s most iconic locations!
Registration is FREE and open to participants ages 2-18 of all abilities. Participants will receive a New Balance beanie (while supplies last) and finishers will receive a medal.

New York Road Runners is ready for takeoff! The all-new United Airlines NYC Half Expo Presented by New Balance is thrilled to announce its new home at the iconic Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, setting the stage for an extraordinary celebration of New York City.
The Jacob K. Javits Convention Center - River Pavilion is located at 429 11th Avenue New York, NY 10001.
Numbers may be picked up at the United Airlines NYC Half Expo Presented by New Balance in advance of the event on the following dates:
- Thursday, March 12: 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
- Friday, March 13: 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday, March 14: 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Number distribution ends 30 minutes before closing.
Parents/guardians of runners are encouraged to pick up race numbers in advance to avoid event-day lines. Absolutely no numbers will be distributed at the NYRR RUNCENTER.
On event day, number pickup will be available at Race-Day Central. Pickup times are:
- Stage 1: 6:30 a.m.–10:15 a.m.
- Stage 2: 6:30 a.m.–9:15 a.m.
- Stage 3: 6:30 a.m.–8:00 a.m.
If you plan to pick up a runner's race number on event day, please arrive at least 60 minutes before the start of their run.
Stage 1: Participants should report to the staging area (starts separated by age group) 10 minutes before the start of their run. Stage 1 dashes will begin on a rolling schedule; see the estimated start times below.
Stages 2 & 3: Participants should report to their assigned corral 15 minutes before the start of their run.

Stage 1: Participants will run short dashes of varying distances. See the Schedule of Events section for estimated distances by age group.
Stages 2 & 3: Participants will run one mile on an out-and-back course starting and finishing on Seventh Avenue between W. 45th and W. 46th Streets. Runners will head north to the turnaround point between W. 55th and W. 56th Streets, then return south to the finish line.
We strongly recommend checking mta.info before you travel. You can also message the MTA on WhatsApp.
Bag check will be available from 6:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. on W. 45th Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues.
While we will continue to have clear plastic bags available at registration, we encourage you to use your own clear reusable plastic bag, no larger than 17" wide x 20" high x 7" deep.
NYRR is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen bags or items from bags checked at NYRR bag check.
Participants will receive a New Balance beanie (while supplies last) and a medal. Souvenirs are subject to availability and will only be distributed on event day from 6:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at Race-Day Central. A youth race number is required to collect the souvenir.
After the conclusion of the event, official results will be posted on results.nyrr.org.
Awards will be presented on race day to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Stage 3 finishers in the girl, boy, and nonbinary categories. Awards will only be distributed at the race finish.

If NYRR cancels an offering on the direction of local, city, or state authorities, parents/guardians will be informed as soon as possible. Canceled events will not be rescheduled.
