NYRR Midnight Run
Kick off the new year with your first race of 2026 at the NYRR Midnight Run!
Join us in celebrating the year ahead while gearing up to set your New Year’s resolutions as you cross the finish line in Central Park. The countdown to 2026 starts at 11:59 p.m.
Please make sure that your NYRR membership is current for this final race of the 2025 9+1 program so it counts toward your guaranteed entry into the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon. Congratulations to everyone ringing the 9+1 bell as we usher in the new year!
The souvenir for this event will be a New Balance long-sleeve tech T-shirt.
The Member-Only Standby List is a perk for NYRR members who are willing to participate in an NYRR race if entries become available after registration has closed. These individuals will be invited to register for the race on a first-come, first-served basis.
Active NYRR members can read about and join the Member-Only Standby List here.
When you run with NYRR, you do more than compete in a world-class race—your support and participation play a role in fulfilling our mission to help and inspire people through running, and benefit NYRR’s free youth and community programs, including Rising New York Road Runners, NYRR Striders, Open Run, and more.
Mark your calendars! Volunteer opportunities for our October - December races will be open for advance registration for Member Plus and above on July 8 and general registration will open on July 10. You cannot register to run and volunteer at the same event.
NYRR strives to host inclusive, sustainable, and accessible events that enable all individuals to engage. To request reasonable accommodations or for inquiries about accessibility for attending this event, please email accessibility@nyrr.org.
To learn more about NYRR accessibility, please visit the NYRR Disability Inclusion & Accessibility Resource page.
If you are an Athlete with Disability who needs a guide or support runner to participate in a NYRR event, please follow the process explained here. To request to register a support runner, the runner must fill out the following form. All requests must be placed by runners at least two weeks prior to the event.
We at New York Road Runners believe running should be accessible to everyone. To help, we created NYRR Race Free to provide race fee assistance to those who qualify financially.
In 2024, we offered 1,000+ program slots and more than 3,000 complimentary race entries, including for the TCS New York City Marathon. Race Free applications that met the eligibility criteria were pooled based on previous participation and selected by borough or zip code until all slots were filled.
Check out the Race Free page this summer for updates on the 2026 application period. (Please note runners apply in 2025 for races in the calendar year of 2026.) Note: For consideration in the 2026 program, you will need to reapply and qualify once the application period opens—access is not guaranteed.
Numbers (which include your timing tag) may be picked up at the NYRR RUNCENTER featuring the New Balance Run Hub at 320 West 57th Street (between Eighth and Ninth avenues). Please check back closer to race day for race number pickup details.

Planning to check a bag on race morning? Only clear bags may be checked at bag check, we are unable to check opaque bags of any size.
NYRR is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen bags or items from bags checked at NYRR bag check.

Please review the prohibited items list to see what you can and cannot bring into the park.
