From one race in New York in 2009 to a global movement, RBC Race for the Kids has grown into a series of 25+ family-friendly races worldwide. Over 415,000 participants have raised more than $100 million USD to support youth charities across the globe.
To register for races, you must create or claim your new NYRR account and add a credit card to avoid delays.
To support the mission of MSK Kids, please consider a donation. You can learn more about MSK Kids below. Donate to MSK Kids on this page.
RBC employees should register only through RBC’s dedicated registration process, which will launch internally to all RBC employees in May 2025. If any RBC employees have questions, reach out to rbcraceforthekids@rbccm.com.
Registration for the Rising NYRR at the RBC Race for the Kids event is open to kids ages 2 to 11 and is completely FREE thanks to the generosity of our community. Get the whole family moving with the race-day fun!
When you run with NYRR, you do more than compete in a world-class race—your support and participation play a role in fulfilling our vision to build healthier lives and stronger communities through the transformative power of running, and benefit NYRR’s free youth and community programs, including Rising New York Road Runners, NYRR Striders, Open Run, and more.
All event information is subject to change.
Volunteer registration will open for Member-Plus and above levels on May 20. General registration will open on May 22 to all.
NYRR strives to host inclusive, sustainable, and accessible events that enable all individuals to engage. To request reasonable accommodations or for inquiries about accessibility for attending this event, please email accessibility@nyrr.org.
To learn more about NYRR accessibility, please visit the NYRR Disability Inclusion & Accessibility Resource page.
If you are an Athlete with Disability who needs a guide or support runner to participate in a NYRR event, please follow the process explained here. To request to register a support runner, the runner must fill out the following form. All requests must be placed by runners at least two weeks prior to the event.
The Member-Only Standby List is a perk for NYRR members who are willing to participate in an NYRR race if entries become available after registration has closed. These individuals will be invited to register for the race on a first-come, first-served basis.
Active NYRR members can join and read about the Member-Only Standby List here.
We at New York Road Runners believe running should be accessible to everyone. To help, we created NYRR Race Free to provide race fee assistance to those who qualify financially.
In 2024, we offered 1,000+ program slots and more than 3,000 complimentary race entries, including for the TCS New York City Marathon. Race Free applications that met the eligibility criteria were pooled based on previous participation and selected by borough or zip code until all slots were filled.
Check out the Race Free page this summer for updates on the 2026 application period. (Please note runners apply in 2025 for races in calendar year 2026.)
- Review the NYRR policy on start and finish cutoff times here.
- If you wish to pay in cash for your race entry, please reach out to our Runner Services team for assistance. Please be sure to include the event name and the email associated with your NYRR account.
- This race is a 9+1 program qualifier.
