Abbott’s partnership with the Abbott Dash to the Finish Line 5K and TSC New York City Marathon, celebrates what’s possible with good health — and the right will and determination.

Runners will zip through the streets of Midtown Manhattan and finish at the famed marathon finish line in Central Park. Friends and family, marathoners and non-marathoners—all are welcome. Get a taste of the famed TCS New York City Marathon finish line feeling without running 26.2 miles!

We at New York Road Runners believe running should be accessible to everyone. To help, we created NYRR Race Free to provide race fee assistance to those who qualify financially.
In 2024, we offered 1,000+ program slots and more than 3,000 complimentary race entries, including for the TCS New York City Marathon. Race Free applications that met the eligibility criteria were pooled based on previous participation and selected by borough or zip code until all slots were filled.
Check out the Race Free page this summer for updates on the 2026 application period. (Please note runners apply in 2025 for races in the calendar year of 2026.)
If you are an Athlete with Disability who needs a guide or support runner to participate in a NYRR event, please follow the process explained here. To request to register a support runner, the runner must fill out the following form. All requests must be placed by runners at least two weeks prior to the event.

The Member-Only Standby List is a perk for NYRR members who are willing to participate in an NYRR race if entries become available after registration has closed. These individuals will be invited to register for the race on a first-come, first-served basis.

Starting October 30, race numbers will be available ONLY at the TCS New York City Marathon Expo Presented by New Balance, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, Halls 3B, 3D, and 3E, located on 11th Avenue at West 35th Street; absolutely no race numbers will be available on race morning.

All participants will receive a New Balance Beanie at number pickup.
Show your race confirmation email or the QR code from your NYRR account to pick up your race materials. Proxy bib pickup is available for this race, so a friend or family member can pick up your race materials. The person will need the QR code for your NYRR account, along with a form of photo identification that corresponds to your NYRR account.

Check back closer to race day for a course map.
Start corrals will be on First Avenue north of East 44th Street and west of First Avenue on East 47th Street. Corrals will open after 7:00 a.m. and will close at 8:45 a.m.
Mile 1: Start at Dag Hammarskjold Plaza on First Avenue at East 44th Street and head south. Turn right on East 42nd Street and head west. Turn right (north) onto Sixth Avenue just before the mile 1 marker.
Mile 2: Proceed up Sixth Avenue toward Central Park and turn right on Central Park South/West 59th Street. Just before the mile 2 marker, turn left into Central Park at Grand Army Plaza.
Mile 3: Proceed into the park, then turn left onto West Drive. Curve around the bottom of the park toward the TCS New York City Marathon finish line, on West Drive at 67th Street.

Bag check will be available on race morning beginning at 7:15 a.m. at the Naumburg Bandshell in Central Park (below the 72nd Street Transverse). Bag check is only available in Central Park and not at the start.
Please note: There will be no bag check location in the start area; if you plan to check a bag, please allow yourself enough time to travel from the bag check area to the start corrals (approximately 2 miles) in time for the start of the race.
Planning to check a bag on race morning? While we will continue to have clear plastic bags available at number pickup, we encourage you to use your own clear reusable plastic bag, no larger than 17" wide x 20" high x 7" deep, with the tag affixed. Only clear bags may be checked at bag check, we are unable to check opaque bags of any size.
NYRR is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen bags or items from bags checked at NYRR bag check.

Live, unofficial results/runner tracking will be available in the NYRR App during the event. Please note: Runner tracking is available at all scored races.
After the conclusion of the event, official results will be posted on results.nyrr.org.
Awards will be presented on site to the top three finishers in the overall men, women, and nonbinary divisions. Runners who place in the top three of their age group will be able to claim an award in the days following the race by filling out our Age-Group Awards Claim Form.

NYRR Member Division
Prize money amounts are equal for men, women, and nonbinary categories and subject to all applicable rules and policies regarding prize money. To be eligible for NYRR Member Division prize money, including team money, a runner must have had a valid paid NYRR membership since at least August 1, 2025 through at least the date of the race, and must complete the course in 21 minutes or faster.

NYRR Member Division Team Prize Money
For scoring purposes, a men’s team must consist of five men, a women’s team must consist of five women, and a nonbinary team must consist of three nonbinary athletes, all running with the same team affiliation. All scoring members must meet the eligibility requirements for NYRR Member Division prize money outlined above. Team prize money is based on the cumulative Net Time of the team members.

If NYRR cancels an offering on the direction of local, city, or state authorities, participants will be informed as soon as possible, including communication of participant resolution options. Events will not be rescheduled.
No Refunds: Entry fees are non-refundable and may not be deferred or transferred.
