Since 1983, Achilles International has been empowering youth, adults, and veterans living with disabilities to participate in adaptive running and endurance sports. This event leads into July's Disability Pride Month and the anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Registration for this event is FREE and open to participants ages 2 to 11 of all abilities that are new to running and physical activity, for non-competitive short dashes. Every finisher will receive a New Balance T-shirt. Please note that souvenirs are subject to availability.
Visit our calendar for a full list of upcoming youth races and events. Follow and use #RisingNYRR in your social posts to share the event-day fun. For more information on the adult race, please visit the Achilles Hope & Possibility 4M Presented by TD Bank race page.
Achilles International empowers all people living with disabilities to participate in adaptive running and endurance sports. We build a supportive community to break down barriers to the start line and beyond. Our vision is a world where everyone can run, walk, or roll together. We reframe what’s possible whether it’s in the park, on the race course or in everyday life.
For more information about volunteering as a guide runner, joining as an athlete with a disability, or making a donation, visit www.achillesinternational.org.
