On race day, number pickup will be available from 5:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. at Race-Day Central (located behind the backstop of Ballfield #8 in Central Park, near East Drive and 102nd Street).

Bib pickup will close 10 minutes after the start time of the race. Runners arriving to pick up their bib after that time will not be issued a bib and will not receive 9+1 credit for the race.

The course calls for two full loops of the park—six miles each—on the park's undulating roadways, with mile markers, fluid stations, and plenty of company.

Miles 1 & 7: Start on East Drive near 102nd Street and head north, around the northern end of the park and up Harlem Hill.

Miles 2 & 8: Continue south on West Drive through a series of rolling hills, with the Reservoir on your left.

Miles 3 & 9: Continue through a mostly downhill and flat section as you approach the TCS New York City Marathon finish line at West 67th Street.

Miles 4 & 10: Continue south (and downhill) around the southern end of park as the road turns into East Drive.

Miles 5 & 11: Pass the 72nd Street Transverse and the Central Park Boathouse, climb Cat Hill, and continue toward the Fred Lebow statue at Engineers' Gate (East 90th Street).

Miles 6 & 12: Continue along a flat section, followed by a slight downhill, then another flat section as you approach the 102nd Street Cross Drive.

On your second loop, turn left onto the Cross Drive and run to the finish.

We strongly recommend checking mta.info before you travel. You can also message the MTA using the chat feature on the MTA app.

On race day, Bag Check will be available from 5:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. (located on the 102nd Street Transverse).

Planning to check a bag on race morning? While we will continue to have clear plastic bags available at number pickup, we encourage you to use your own clear reusable plastic bag, no larger than 17" wide x 20" high x 7" deep, with the tag affixed. Only clear bags may be checked at bag check, we are unable to check opaque bags of any size.

NYRR is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen bags or items from bags checked at NYRR bag check.

The NYRR Pace Team members are some of the most experienced runners in New York City and the most knowledgeable runners on the course. They hit their target finish time 96.5% of the time. Pacers will be on hand to guide participants toward specific goal times over the entire race distance.

If you choose to run with a pace group, you can look for the NYRR Pace Team members in the start corrals wearing their blue-and-white-striped NYRR Pace Team singlets. Each pacer will wear orange-and-blue back flags displaying their target finish times and average pace, making them easy to spot throughout the race. There is no fee or sign-up required to run or with the pace team.

As part of NYRR's overall sustainability efforts, volunteer-led water refill stations will be available on course where runners are encouraged to refill their own hydration containers (in compliance with what is permissible with NYRR safety and security guidelines) during the race. The refill stations are located near both West 98th & East 84th on course.

New York Road Runners, in collaboration with Cup Zero, is working to reduce single-use waste. Reusable hydration cups are available at this race. Runners are strongly encouraged to return their cups to the designated receptacles in the post-finish area. Returning the cups ensures they can be cleaned, reused, and kept from landfill, supporting both the environment and the program’s success.

For a full list of Prohibited Items, please click here.

Live, unofficial results/runner tracking will be available in the NYRR App during the event. Please note: Runner tracking is available at all scored races.

After the conclusion of the event, official results will be posted on results.nyrr.org.

Awards will be presented on site to the top three finishers in the overall men, women, and nonbinary divisions. Runners who place in the top three of their age group will be able to claim an award in the days following the race by filling out our Age-Group Awards Claim Form.
