The 2026 Virtual United Airlines NYC Half offers three tiers for entry. Read on for information about each tier or select an option from the list below.
- Guaranteed Entry Tier: Registration for this tier will take place via a first come, first served basis. Runners who sign up and complete this virtual race will receive guaranteed, non-complimentary entry to the 2027 United Airlines NYC Half along with a finisher medal and Virtual 6 credit. Note: Guaranteed Entry tier registration is not open to runners who are signed up for the 2026 United Airlines NYC Half. Any runner who is registered for both this tier and the 2026 United Airlines NYC Half will be removed from the virtual race.
- Medal Tier: Registrations for this tier will take place via a first come, first served basis. Runners who sign up and complete this virtual race will receive a finisher medal, 4 out of 6 credit, and Virtual 6 credit.
- Love of Running Tier: Runners can sign up for the Love of Running tier. Run this race for free or upgrade to Premium to receive a Virtual 6 credit.
Race results and credits will be available on the NYRR Results site and in your NYRR dashboard by Wednesday, March 18.

Runners can now upgrade from the Free Tier to the Premium Tier and earn a Virtual 6 credit through their user dashboard at any time between now and the end of the event. Here are the steps:
- Sign into your dashboard.
- Go to Your Events, and view the virtual race registration you wish to upgrade.
- Under Registration Options, select Switch Categories.
- Select the Premium Tier and pay the registration fee. You may not downgrade once you have registered for the Premium Tier, all entry fees are non-refundable.
About Guaranteed Entry Tier
- Spots: Limited Capacity | First come, first served*
- Registrants receive: 60-day Strava subscription**
Runners who register for the Virtual United Airlines NYC Half (Guaranteed Entry) and complete their virtual race will be shipped a Virtual United Airlines NYC Half finisher medal. Registrants will gain access to a 60-day Strava subscription.

Finishers Receive (Guaranteed Entry Tier)
- Guaranteed, non-complimentary entry to the 2027 United Airlines NYC Half

^ Finishers will receive their finisher package in the mail at the address provided in their NYRR profile. Packages will be shipped after the race time frame. Domestic and international runners will be contacted via email once their finisher package is shipped and provided with a tracking number.
About Finisher Medal Tier

- Registrants receive: 60-day Strava subscription**
Runners who register for the Virtual United Airlines NYC Half (Medal) and complete their virtual race will be shipped a Virtual United Airlines NYC Half finisher medal. Registrants will gain access to a 60-day Strava subscription.

Runners who register for the Virtual United Airlines NYC Half (Love of Running) pay no entry fee! Registrants will gain access to a 30-day Strava subscription.

Runners must complete the full 13.1 mile distance in a single run activity during one calendar day and upload the activity to Strava. Please note: Your activity must be a GPS upload. Manual uploads, treadmill runs, and activities where friends have “tagged” you are not supported and will not be counted toward your result.
