Event Details

Join us Sunday, June 7, for 2K for 2-K, a free family-friendly event at Fort Tryon Park in Upper Manhattan, hosted by NYC Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani and produced by New York Road Runners.

Registration is open for a 2K (2-kilometer/1.2 mile) family run/walk for ages 2+ and short dashes for kids ages 2–11 who are new to running and physical activity. All participants must be registered.

The special event also features a festival with fun physical activities and games for families. Registration is only required for the physical activities.

Participants will receive a lunch bag (while supplies last).

2K for 2-K celebrates movement, community, and togetherness—and supports NYC Public Schools’ new 2-K initiative, providing free early care and learning for 2-year-olds.

This event is not eligible for a +9 race credit toward non-complimentary guaranteed entry to the 2027 TCS New York City Marathon. Volunteer opportunities are +1 eligible.

This event will not be scored.
