On race day, number pickup will be available from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. at Race Day Central located in David Dinkins Circle.


Bib pickup will close 10 minutes after the start time of the race. Runners arriving to pick up their bib after that time will not be issued a bib and will not receive 9+1 credit for the race.



The race will start on Avenue of Commerce and head up to the Unisphere. Runners will loop around the Queens Zoo, cross back past the Queens Museum, circle around the New York State Pavilion, and return back to the Unisphere. The race will finish with a sprint down Dwight Eisenhower Promenade to the Fountain of the Planets.

Calm your pre-race jitters with a soothing guided meditation session in our Zen Zone before the 5K! Center your mind and connect with fellow participants in a serene environment pre-race.

This inspiring installation invites runners to pause and contemplate their mental well-being and the transformative power of running. Share your thoughts, aspirations, and experiences with fellow participants, creating a tapestry of inspiration and support. Whether you're reflecting on personal growth or the joy of movement, the Reflection Wall is a space to honor the journey towards better mental health and the resilience that running fosters. Join the conversation and be part of a community that values wellness and self-discovery.

NYRR Run for the Future celebrates 15 years empowering young women through running. Stop by the Run for the Future tent to reset, recharge, and learn more about the program. Alumnae are invited to reconnect, and all participants can take part in interactive mindfulness activities. Spin the wellness wheel, reflect on guided prompts, and take home a small wellness item (while supplies last).

The Southfield Lot will be the main parking lot on race day. All participants must enter through Gate 16. The operating hours will be 5:30 a.m.–11:30 a.m. Parking is $40 for compact cars and $80 for any car larger than a 7-8 person SUV (except for ADA vans). All payments must be paid on site. Cash will not be accepted. There are no prepaid parking passes available. No street parking will be available.

While the NYRR RUNCENTER featuring the New Balance Run Hub is being renovated, we're offering extra bib pickup options. Runners of the NYRR Mindful 5K who are also participating in the NYRR BK 5K can pick up their BK 5K bib and premium after the Mindful 5K race. 

Bag check will be available beginning at 6:30 a.m. at Race Day Central located in David Dinkins Circle.


Planning to check a bag on race morning? While we will continue to have clear plastic bags available at number pickup, we encourage you to use your own clear reusable plastic bag, no larger than 17" wide x 20" high x 7" deep, with the tag affixed. Only clear bags may be checked at bag check, we are unable to check opaque bags of any size.


NYRR is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen bags or items from bags checked at NYRR bag check.

Live, unofficial results/runner tracking will be available in the NYRR App during the event. Please note: Runner tracking is available at all scored races.


After the conclusion of the event, official results will be posted on results.nyrr.org.


Awards will be presented on site to the top three finishers in the overall men, women, and nonbinary divisions. Runners who place in the top three of their age group will be able to claim an award in the days following the race by filling out our Age-Group Awards Claim Form.

This community-focused run invites participants of all ages and abilities to come together for a shared experience that supports mental well-being, connection, and self-care—recognizing that progress looks different for everyone, and every step counts.


The NYRR Mindful 5K reflects New York Road Runners’ vision to build healthier lives and stronger communities through the transformative power of running. Exercise is a natural mood-enhancer and stress reliever, boosting endorphins and self-esteem, and can reduce the risk of major depression by up to 26 percent with just 15 minutes of running or walking a day.

This event welcomes everyone to celebrate the wellness benefits of running and movement in a supportive, inclusive environment. Set in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, the course offers a calm and energizing backdrop—encouraging participants to move at their own pace and focus on how each step makes them feel.


On race day, be sure to stop by the NYRR Zen Zone. This serene space offers opportunities for meditation and mindfulness. Registered participants are invited to visit the Zen Zone before the race to mentally prepare through live sessions and self-guided audio recordings.

The Member-Only Standby List for the NYRR Mindful 5K is full. If you already submitted your name to the Member-Only Standby List for this event, you could be selected from the standby list and sent a non-complimentary invitation code up to 48 hours before the event date.

If NYRR cancels an offering on the direction of local, city, or state authorities, participants will be informed as soon as possible, including communication of participant resolution options. Events will not be rescheduled.

Runners are encouraged to pick up their bibs at the RUNCENTER to avoid race day lines. 


All participants will receive a New Balance Short Sleeve Shirt at number pickup. Your shirt size may not be available at the time of bib pickup.


On race day, number pickup will be available from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. at Race Day Central located in David Dinkins Circle.


Show your race confirmation email or the QR code from your NYRR account to pick up your race materials. Proxy bib pickup is available for this race, so a friend or family member can pick up your race materials. The person will need the QR code for your NYRR account, along with a form of photo identification that corresponds to your NYRR account.
