NYRR ❤️ Members. Celebrate the legacy of Grete Waitz at this members-only Central Park race!
Join New York Road Runners members to celebrate the legacy of Grete Waitz with a run through Central Park on Saturday, August 22 at this NYRR members-only race. This special race and festival are the highlight of NYRR's member celebrations. Race on the same course where Grete won her five New York Mini 10K titles—setting road race world records in 1979 and 1980—and where she ran the final miles of her record nine New York City Marathon victories. Grete later became the founding chair of the NYRR Foundation, which has evolved into NYRR Community Impact.
All registrants will receive a New Balance tri-blend t-shirt.
Registration is open only for NYRR members. Please log into your account to register for this race. Runners must have an active NYRR membership at the time of registration.
At NYRR MEMBERS MATTER!
It's NYRR's third Member Week which is an annual week-long celebration (August 17-22) to express gratitude and appreciation for NYRR members. The week-long celebration will include a roster of special activities, opportunities, exclusive offers, perks, and giveaways, culminating with a member only race (NYRR Grete’s Great Gallop 10K) and post-race festival experience.
The Member-Only Standby List is a perk for NYRR members who are willing to participate in an NYRR race if entries become available after registration has closed. These individuals will be invited to register the race on a first-come, first-served basis.
Active NYRR Members can read about and join the Member-Only Standby List here.
