This race serves as a 9+1 qualifier for the 2027 TCS New York City Marathon and as a 4 Out of 6 program qualifier for the 2027 United Airlines NYC Half.

In 2026, we will offer 2,000 spots in the NYRR Race Free Program and more than 6,000 complimentary race entries, including entry for the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon. All participants will receive a New Balance Singlet at number pickup.
On race day, number pickup will be available beginning at 5:45 a.m. at Race-Day Central (located in David Dinkins Circle).
Show your race confirmation email or the QR code from your NYRR account to pick up your race materials. Proxy bib pickup is available for this race, so a friend or family member can pick up your race materials. The person will need the QR code for your NYRR account, along with a form of photo identification that corresponds to your NYRR account.
Race Numbers will also be available for pickup at the Citizens Woodside Branch (5120 Northern Boulevard, Woodside, NY) on the following dates:

When you purchase an iTAB, it will arrive in the mail engraved with your name and finish time a few days after you finish your races and collect your medal at the finish line . The iTAB fits perfectly onto the ribbon of your medal and is a great way to celebrate and share your event journey.

On race day, number pickup will be available beginning at 5:45 a.m. at Race-Day Central (located in David Dinkins Circle).
Bib pickup will close 10 minutes after the start time of the race. Runners arriving to pick up their bib after that time will not be issued a bib and will not receive 9+1 credit for the race.

This race will start in two waves:
- Corrals AA-F starts at 7:45 a.m.
- Corrals G-L starts at 8:15 a.m.
The course starts and finishes in Flushing Meadows Corona Park near the Fountain of the Planets. Runners will go on an adventurous tour of the park over the 10K distance with sights including the Unisphere, the Queens Museum, and more!
Mile 1: Start on Meridian Road between the Avenue of Discovery and the Avenue of Research. Follow Meridian Road before turning left onto Meadow Lake Road West/Meadow Lake Promenade.
Mile 2: Follow Meadow Lake Drive West and bear right onto Meadow Drive. Turn right to continue on Meadow Drive and around Meadowlark Circle. Cross the Amphitheater Bridge and continue on Avenue of Asia, then turn right onto Pacific Avenue and right onto Meridian Road.
Mile 3: Follow Meridian Road and take a right onto New York Avenue, followed by an immediate left onto Hall of Science Bridge. Turn right after exiting the bridge to loop around the Hall of Science. Take the Avenue of Science to continue onto Zoo Path.
Mile 4: Take Zoo Path across Zoo Bridge, then turn left from United Nations Avenue South onto Avenue of the States. Turn left onto United Nations Avenue North, then return to New York Avenue to head back down Meridian Road. Turn left onto Perimeter Road, once again onto Avenue of the States to the foot of the New York State Pavillion.
Mile 5: Turn right on United Nations Avenue South, then turn right to loop around Maloof Skate Park. Take another right onto United Nations Avenue South, followed by a left onto Avenue of Africa. Turn right before you reach the Unisphere to pass between the Etched Granite Pavement landmark and Fountain of the Fairs, taking a right onto Avenue of the Americas. Turn left onto United Nations Avenue North, then turn left at the Freedom of the Human Spirit statue and continue past the Unisphere.
Mile 6: Continue toward United Nations Avenue South, then make a U-turn back around the Unisphere to United Nations Avenue North. Turn left onto Avenue of the Americas, then right at New York Avenue / David Dinkins Circle, before making another right onto the Avenue of Commerce. Follow the Avenue of Commerce, turn right onto Herbert Hoover Promenade, and continue toward the Unisphere. Just before reaching the Unisphere, turn left toward Astronaut Court and proceed toward Dwight Eisenhower Promenade. Mile 6 is on Dwight Eisenhower Promenade and the finish is just before the Fountain of the Planets.

Planning to check a bag on race morning? While we will continue to have clear plastic bags available at number pickup, we encourage you to use your own clear reusable plastic bag, no larger than 17" wide x 20" high x 7" deep, with the tag affixed. Only clear bags may be checked at bag check, we are unable to check opaque bags of any size.
NYRR is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen bags or items from bags checked at NYRR bag check.

After the conclusion of the event, official results will be posted on results.nyrr.org.
Awards will be presented on site to the top three finishers in the overall men, women, and nonbinary divisions. Runners who place in the top three of their age group will be able to claim an award in the days following the race by filling out our Age-Group Awards Claim Form.
All prize money amounts are equal for men, women, and nonbinary categories and subject to all applicable rules and policies regarding prize money. To be eligible for prize money and time bonuses, including Top Queens Finisher, a runner must have had a valid paid NYRR membership since at least March 13, 2026 through at least the date of the race, and must complete the course in 42 minutes or faster.

The 4 Out of 6 program allows NYRR members who meet the eligibility requirements to gain guaranteed entry to the United Airlines NYC Half.
Eligibility for entry to the 2027 United Airlines NYC Half will be guaranteed for NYRR members who complete four qualifying events in 2026 and have an active membership by the last qualifying event of the 2026 4 Out of 6 program (the NYRR Staten Island Half on October 11, 2026).
The following races in 2026 will count toward the 4 Out of 6 program qualification for the 2027 United Airlines NYC Half (Please note all dates are pending permit approval and subject to change):

If NYRR cancels an offering on the direction of local, city, or state authorities, participants will be informed as soon as possible, including communication of participant resolution options. Events will not be rescheduled.
