About

NYRR Team Champs brings NYC’s run club community together for one of the most anticipated events of the year.

More About NYRR Team Championships 5M
Race Details

This club-favorite includes men’s, women’s, and nonbinary points races worth double points in the 2026 NYRR Club Points Series.

Last year’s champions set the bar high: Brooklyn Track Club took the men’s title, Central Park Track Club Tracksmith led the women’s field, and Front Runners NY claimed the nonbinary division. Who will rise to the challenge this year?

Rep your club or crew in this five-mile showdown where fierce competition meets camaraderie. From established teams to emerging squads, the city’s running spirit is on full display, and bragging rights are up for grabs!

All registrants will receive a New Balance shoe bag.

NYRR Team Champs is currently open for registration to active club teams only. Registration will open to the general public on July 7.

Member-Only Standby List

The Member-Only Standby List is a perk for NYRR members who are willing to participate in an NYRR race if entries become available after registration has closed. These individuals will be invited to register the race on a first-come, first-served basis.

Active NYRR Members can read about and join the Member-Only Standby List here.

More Race Info

In order to score for a team, an entrant must be a member of an established and NYRR-recognized running team and must have completed at least one NYRR scored/qualifying race for that team since (but not including) the previous year’s Team Championships. Furthermore, they may not have competed for that team until at least 90 days after having competed for another team.

If a participating team has not fielded a full team in their division (men’s open, women’s open, nonbinary open, 40+, 50+, 60+, 70+) at a prior NYRR Club Points race since (but not including) the previous year’s Team Championships, the team may not score in that division at the NYRR Team Championships.

All team categories for the NYRR Team Championships are scored by net time. At the Team Championships, points are doubled in each team category as follows:

  • Open: 10 men, 10 women, and 3 nonbinary runners score for a team in their respective races
  • 40+: 5 men/5 women
  • 50+: 3 men/3 women
  • 60+: 3 men/3 women
  • 70+: 3 men/3 women

If NYRR cancels an offering on the direction of local, city, or state authorities, participants will be informed as soon as possible, including communication of participant resolution options. Events will not be rescheduled.

No Refunds: Entry fees are non-refundable and may not be deferred or transferred.
