More About NYRR Ted Corbitt 15K
Race Details

Join us on Saturday, December 5 at the 18th annual NYRR Ted Corbitt 15K as we honor the life and legacy of Ted Corbitt (1919–2007). Corbitt was the first president of New York Road Runners, the first African American to compete in the Olympic marathon, and an ultramarathon pioneer who ran more than 170,000 miles in his lifetime. Corbitt’s legacy goes beyond his own personal running achievements and includes setting standards for course measurement and age-group competition. Learn more about Ted Corbitt’s life and impact on our blog. Finishers will receive a commemorative medal in his honor, and all participants will receive a New Balance long-sleeve tri-blend T-shirt.

Member-Only Standby List

The Member-Only Standby List is a perk for NYRR members who are willing to participate in an NYRR race if entries become available after registration has closed. These individuals will be invited to register the race on a first-come, first-served basis.

Active NYRR Members can read about and join the Member-Only Standby List here.
