Kick off Harlem Week 2026 with an exciting, family-friendly day of running that brings the whole community together.
Bring the kids out to the Rising New York Road Runners at the Percy Sutton Harlem 5K run and experience the energy, culture, and spirit of Harlem. Harlem Week is an annual celebration showcasing the very best of the neighborhood, highlighting its rich legacy in arts, culture, business, entertainment, and sports.
Registration is FREE and open to participants ages 2–18 of all abilities. Participants will receive a New Balance lunch box (while supplies last).

Rising New York Road Runners strives to host inclusive, sustainable, and accessible events that enable all individuals to engage. Numbers may be picked up at the NYRR RUNCENTER featuring the New Balance Run Hub at 320 West 57th Street (between Eighth and Ninth Avenues) in advance of the event. Check back closer to the event for more information.

Stage 1: Check back for the event map. Participants will run short dashes of various distances. See the Schedule of Events section for the estimated distances each age group will run.
Stage 2: Check back for the event map. Participants will run an out-and-back course that starts and finishes on W. 136th Street and Edgevombe Ave (at the adult Percy Sutton Harlem 5K start line). Runners will begin by heading north toward W. 139 St take a right and a quick a left on St Nicholas Ave and head north towards the turnaround point on W. 140 St. Runners will then go south on St Nicholas Ave, turn on W 139 St, and then back down to W. 136 St on Edgecombe Ave.
Stage 3: Check back for the event map. Participants will run an out-and-back course that starts and finishes on W. 136th Street and Edgevombe Ave (at the adult Percy Sutton Harlem 5K start line). Bag check will be available from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Race-Day Central.
While we will continue to have clear plastic bags available at registration, we encourage you to use your own clear reusable plastic bag, no larger than 17" wide x 20" high x 7" deep. Only clear bags may be checked at bag check; we are unable to check opaque bags of any size.
NYRR is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen bags or items from bags checked at NYRR bag check.
Participants will receive a New Balance lunch box. Souvenirs are subject to availability and will only be distributed on event day from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Race-Day Central. A youth number is required to collect the souvenir.
After the conclusion of the event, official results will be posted on results.nyrr.org. Awards will be presented on race day to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place Stage 3 finishers in the girl, boy, and nonbinary categories. Awards will only be distributed at the race finish.

If NYRR cancels an offering on the direction of local, city, or state authorities, parents/guardians will be informed as soon as possible. Events will not be rescheduled.
